It has been seasonally warm on the Cape ---I see folks outside wearing just light jackets and sweatshirts. They are in full spring mode. Lots of bike riders, golfers, runners, walkers. I even saw people playing tennis. The warmer weather has created an interest in people wanting to book their summer vacation rental earlier than previous years.
I also think folks are tired of the tough economy and are just ready for a much needed vacation. And the Cape still gives great value for your money. Where else can you book a week's accommodation for 5 for under $1,000.
As for Maine...it has been a dry winter. Lucky for snow making and really great grooming as this what we have been skiing on so far this season. But on Friday -we had 8 inches of beautiful snow and this week even more snow is coming. For those of you who have not had a chance to ski this year, now is the time.
